Last year in June 2009 in the elections for the European Parliament, the most recent city election, Greens came top across the whole city of Brighton and Hove by a large margin, beating Tories, Labour, and LibDems.
As the graph shows, Greens can win over all the other parties in the city.
The party also has an equal number of councillors as Labour on the city council.
But ultimately it is about voting for what you believe in.
